Jasmine Pearls | Green Tea
Jasmine pearls are hand-rolled in Fujian, China and are made up of the bud + one leaf down from the sprouting tips of the tea plant. Our jasmine pearls are naturally scented with the finest quality night-blooming Fujian jasmine flowers, never a perfume.
PROCESSING:
The fresh jasmine flowers are laid out over the rolled balls of tea leaves on a mat. Over the next 12 hours, the flowers open and release their aroma into the tea, imparting flavor and that heady aroma. In the 12th hour, the spent flowers are removed and the whole infusing process begins again - up to 6 times for high-quality jasmine teas.
STEEPING:
Jasmine pearls make a wonderful cup of hot or cold brewed tea.
3-5 grams (1 Tablespoon) of tea leaves
14-16 fl oz water ~185F
Steep 1: 3 min
Steep 2: water 195F for 4 min
Steep 3: water 203F for 5 min
These pearls exude a heady aroma that follows with lightly sweet aftertaste. They produce a thicker, viscous liquid that decrease with intensity and caffeine with each steep.
